Unit 14 Useful expressions
1．Kwanzaa is a seven-day festival celebrating the culture and history of African Americans.
seven-day是一个复合起形容词作用。Day不用复数。
celebrating是-ing形式短语作后置定语。（= which celebrates……）
2．dress up as+人 …乔装打扮成某人
dress sb. / oneself 给某人（自己）穿上衣服
be dressed in + 衣服:穿着……衣服
3．hear about / of听说某人 / 某事
hear from sb. 收到某人来信
hear sb. 听到某人说话或听过某人唱歌
hear that +从句听说某事发生
