Dear editor(编辑),

I have some problems now. My new Chemistry teacher is a strange man who doesn’t believe that girls can do well in Chemistry. He never asks a girl to answer a question in class, nor does he ever answer girls’ questions after class. My Chemistry studies are not going as well as before. Is there any way for me to prove that girls can also do well in Chemistry without his help?

Cathy

Dear Cathy,

It seems that you are angry with your new Chemistry teacher. The one way for you to prove that girls also can do well in Chemistry is to work extra hard and be the best in your class. Use your anger to drive you on to ever better. But it might also be worth asking him if you could have a meeting with him to discuss what you think about him. From the meeting you should be able to know exactly how he feels towards you. Say that you feel left out in class and let him know how much you like Chemistry. Good luck!
