It`s hard to imagine, but the human body is about 73percent water. That makes getting enough daily water essential.
A person at rest loses about 40 ounces of water a day, but an active person can lose twice that amount. Water leaves the body in obvious ways, but did you know that when you breathe, water escape in your breath? It even evaporates through your skin, especially in hot or dry weather. When you work hard and exercise, sweating causes you to lose much more water.
The body needs water for its organs(器官) to function properly and to flush out toxins(毒素)you ingest in the food you eat and breathe in from polluted air. Because the body loses water all the time, you must be sure to replace it. You could drink at least 40 ounces of liquid each day, but you can also intake water without drinking a drop from a glass. Many foods contain a large amount of water, especially fruits and raw vegetables. At the same time, not all liquids are alike. Coffee, tea, and carbonated beverages(碳酸饮料)such as soft drinks do not hydrate the body as well as pure water and fruit juices.
What happens when the body does not get enough water? There are several signs of dehydration, including low energy and dry eyes and mouth. F you are fatigued(疲劳), instead of taking a nap, try drinking a glass of water. Often, it`s all you need to feel refreshed.

Still, it can never be bad to get exercise, can it?

They game originated in Britain and was played in the Middle Ages or even earlier, though as an organizes game, or “association football”, it dates only from the beginning of the 19th century.

BUILDING will finish this month on Taiwan`s 508-metre Taiei101, which will replace the Petronas Tower(452 metres) in Malaysia as the world`s tallest building.
The tower is designed to resist an earthquake measuring 7.0 Richter scale as well as the biggest typhone in a 100-year cycle. And if a plane hits the building, like the September 11 attacks on the World Trade Centre in New York, Taipei 101 “will stay up much longer for people to escape”, according to CP Wang, its architect(建筑师).
Skyscrapers(摩天大楼)were first built at the end of 19th century due to limited space. With little land available(可用的) and high construction costs in downtown areas, building upwards was a practical solution. High-rise buildings soon became good for business as companies couldbe based near one another and people didn`t have to travel far to work..
In the last century, many countries have tried to build the world`d tallest building. While great height once honoured gods and kings, it now makes large companies and cities look good. Skyscrapers have become a symbol(象征) of modernization, a sign of high-tech resources and lots of money.
Though the race to build higher and higher seems far from over, many people ask whether skyscrapers are worth building at all.
A lot of money is needed to start work on high-rise buildings and there is no way of knowing if it will make a profit(盈利) in the end. There are also many added costs that are not a problem for low-rise buildings. Skyscrapers have to deal with higher wind pressures and many actually sway(摆动) in the wind. The Empire State Building in New York, for example, moves a quarter of an inch in winds of up 75 miles per hour. Money has to spend on providing the building with extra support so it is not damaged in these conditions.
Another problem is that thje windows have to be kept shut in skyscrapers for safety reasons. A lack of air circulation or the effects of air-conditioning can mean people are easilyaffected by diseases, not to mention epidemics like SARS.
There are environmental and safety problems too. Shanghai is gtradually sinking mainly because of weight of thousands of tall buildings.
Meanwhjile, the events of 9/11 have made people worried about being in a skyscraper during a fire or other such disaster. Whe lifts stop working, it takes a long time to clear the building.

A. flow B. circle C. cleaning D. safety

A last century B .the tallest building C. sign of high0-tech D. great height
70. Where is the hottest race for building the tallest taking place?
